Fire Training Center and Davit Systems

Fire is an uncontrolled flaming combustion. The probability of a fire on a ship and its consequences depend on the ship's structure, cargo, working method, workplaces, personnel training, control of people entering and exiting, and many other factors. In particular, the cargo of the ship determines the precautions to be taken against fire. The fire risk of a fuel tanker or a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) carrier cannot be the same as the fire risk and possible consequences of a bulk dry cargo ship. The precautions to be taken may be different and complex accordingly. In the Fire Training Center, Fire Prevention and Fighting and Advanced Fire Trainings within the scope of Safety at Sea courses are given. Emergency practices are also carried out. By reading ship plans, casualties can be found on the ship, transported to safe points, and first aid procedures can be applied. In addition, there are systems that allow stretcher operations and evacuation operations. The Fire Training Center is 2-storey and designed in a ship model type. It consists of 1 closed cabin, corridors, emergency escape hatches, 1 open flame tank, 1 closed smoke tank, fixed sprinkler system, pressurized water circuits, visual and audible alarm systems. There are also mobile equipment for the use of Foam and CO2 systems used in fire intervention in the Fire Training Center.
